if that doesn't work, then maybe download F-Droid and install an open-source IRC client.
if that doesn't work, then try termux app (it's a terminal) and install irssi (terminal IRC client)
if that doesn't work, then IDK...

I tryed weechat but it won't even let me add anything no the web one don't work it's a really old phone 89% of the web wont load bc the browser don't support new java plus in Russia and can't really get a vpn do work to besides that idk can you explain it how like I'm a toddler haha [@___@]

^ sorry, not really an expert for phone stuff. i found this client on F-Droid that seems to support Android 4.2+, you can try it out. it's free and open-source so you can trust the .apk.

btw. you should look into custom ROMs and see if you can get a more modern version of Android. i had this shitty ZTE Blade 3 that i used for years because the ROM support was good (literally just one guy maintaining it lol). it can be a bit complicated to install and get running though, not sure if that improved over the years. maybe start with searching "<phone name> custom roms" and see what comes up.
