no, i don't hate "virgins", but think wizchan is dangerous. mostly, users there have no experience with the world. they've never held a job, never had to mature as people, might harbour untreated mental illness, often spend all their time inside, and aren't known for their positive outlooks.
the danger is: people like that haven't developed much real world objectivity. so if they spend too much time there, they might internalise ideas that just don't apply. many people on that site don't even seem to have a plan for the future.
its the same reason that spending all your time on sites like r9k when you're young is a bad idea. you become neurotically obsessed with "getting laid" and "your life is over" when it hasn't even started. it makes sense to have a site like wizchan but the overall attitude seems toxic to anyone that doesn't want to kill themselves...

Fun fact: I have been on wizchan since it was wizardchan back in 2012 or 2013 and I was 15 or 16 back then and already believed in the wiz cause and lifestyle

it's not dangerous at all. if these ideas don't match your lived experience, you will never acquire them. it's actually very hard to believe in things that are opposite to your lived experience. liberals think that racism exists because we had the "idea" and people got infected with it, similar to how you think depcrabs only exist because depcrab belief system is like an unfortunate virus that spreads through impressionable wizkids... in reality, people are racists because of their lived experience of niggers being violent and stupid, and depcrabs are depressed because before they even read about these ideas online, they already have a bunch of experience that confirms it. "you're too young to know about these things, after all, you never even had a job yet!" - as if 4 years of high school isn't enough to get a taste of normalfag bullshit and see what the world is like (spoiler: ruled by sociopaths and whores).

^ what my post was getting at is more like plato's allegory of the cave. people chained in a cave, with a fire behind them, only see shadows on a wall and believe those shadows are reality. One prisoner escapes, discovers the real world and gains knowledge the others lack. but when he returns they dismiss him because his claims contradict everything they know and he no longer seems credible by the cave’s standards. this is basically wizchan in a nuttshell.
the cave is the self-imposed isolation of being a shut in, lack of real-world social interaction, and integration. its also lack of knowledge from being chained up in this situation. the shadows are the view of the outside world when you've never participated and only exist in a superficial sense. it becomes extremely hard to know what its like outside that cave. and if you try to tell anyone on the site theyll tell you you're a "normalfag" or that you "dont understand it."

^ i understand what you want to say, it just doesn't track with reality. wizkids aren't born into a cave with no knowledge of reality, they've already been outside the cave their entire life and experienced a bunch of evil shit because they live in a dogshit world. then they go into the cave to protect themselves. then you come along, hey guys, why don't you come out? it's perfectly safe, all your stories are just illusions, you didn't actually experience all those things, you guys are just confused :D
and then you wonder why they chase you out the cave with sticks lol

^ (cont.) your analogy would track with amish kids or like heavily homeschooled and sheltered kids. anyone that has spent their entire childhood in the hellscape that is public schools has the right to opt-out at 18 because they've seen all they needed to see, in my opinion. still, in my case, i gave it a shot and went to uni and even worked for a couple years, it didn't change my opinion of other people and it made me actively suicidal until i became a shut-in. young wizkids, from what i've seen, usually still have some positive outlook left in them, they still try to self-improove, they're willing to try anything just to be normal, but it often doesn't work out. the /dep/crabs you see are actually people in their late 20s, disillusioned by real life, wishing they never even tried so they saved themselves the extra trauma and false hope.

^ expect that's the issue. when you're young you lack the knowledge to tell what's a shadow and what's reality. and the more time you spend in the cave, the more time you'll mistake these beliefs for reality. at worse, you'll become a defeatist dep crab and never leave at all. some of these people even kill themselves. wizchan has one of the most active suicide boards on the web but what makes it unusual is theres almost no push back or oversight in the threads.
apparently outsiders saying thats weird are the strange ones though. again, under these beliefs if you don't agree with it you're just a "normie" and have lost credibility in the cave. leaving this (and trying to find something more positive) is itself taken as a signal to disqualify any evidence that the concepts might be harmful. so the community becomes a circle jerk that can never accept opposing evidence.

^^ we're all in plato's cave. wizkids were on one side of the cave, you were on the other side, and you and they were shown two different shadows. you think your shadows are more true than theirs because it's more positive and life affirming, but you are just as deluded as them. you both simply take your lived experience as reality and base your beliefs on what you've experienced. if people treated you kindly your entire life, you come out believing that people are fundamentally kind. if people treated you like shit, you believe the opposite. that's all there is to it. your experience don't match theirs, so you have trouble accepting their beliefs. if you were bullied and treated like shit, if you had panic attacks when going outside, you would understand the wizardly urge to become a shut-in, but you fundamentally lack these experiences, your life was different so you believe different things and have different "solutions".

^ this is just relativist, non-sense. im not trying to deny anyone's lived experience. but the fact remains that if you isolate yourself, shun every kind of relation except online depressives, remain unemployed, never develop any real world experience, goals, or life plans, don't study, spend all your time gaming or doom scrolling, then you will lack an immense amount of knowledge of how the world really is.
that means you will not be able to participate objectivity on many subjects. these could be topics like: how the economy is going, the workforce, how practical employment is, retirement, health, whatever. people in the cave will have an answer for you but it will most likely be a wrong one.
i also see a little of the problem with addiction centres here:
1. people who aren't broken leave wizchan
2. the ones who are most broken stay
3. over time the site concentrates broken people, creating the false illusion that things are worse than they are

^ i'm just saying, the isolation comes AFTER the years of forced schooling and trauma. most people become shut-ins after high school and by that point, they've learned a lot about how people operate and how they will be treated.
>these could be topics like: how the economy is going, the workforce, how practical employment is, retirement, health, whatever.
ok, you can speak about your experiences, "getting a job in X is easy, or it's hard right now", but don't try to tell some shut-in wizzie that if he goes outside, girls will suck his dick and he'll be treated like a prince. i do agree that wizards tend to overestimate their knowledge in some areas, like if you never applied to a job, you shouldn't be talking about how easy/hard it is.

^ i think id trust older wizards judgement on themselves more more than younger at least. but i think theres something here worth mentioning. a lot of what we experience of how we're treated, who's around us, what the world is like, is only ever based on our small chunk of the world. the danger is assuming that the whole world hates us because we get a bad spawn.
there are so many instances of people whose entire outlook changed because they moved somewhere and were suddenly treated like a real person. its also a caution not to dismiss life too soon when people live so long.
