nah, dried beans. i leave them to soak overnight, then i boil them for 30 minutes and throw away the water and wash them. then i add water again, onions, garlic, carrots, a small pepper, sausages and/or bacon chunks, seasoning and cook for about 2 hours. finally, i mix paprika and oil in a separate pan and heat it up till it starts bubbling, and then i add that to the stew.

end result is something like this:from there you can stick it in the oven if you want baked beans, but the stew version is very delish.
